The three biggest enclosed cargo trailers we currently have in-stock are our Gooseneck trailers, which come in several lengths, 8.5x32 enclosed trailer, and our 8.5x28 Tandem Axle 3. All of which are made for hauling the largest loads you need them for. The Gooseneck is a great option for loads like livestock and extra-heavy loads that require extra stability that the placement of the Gooseneck’s coupler position provides. If you don’t want a coupler in your truck bed, the 8.5x28 affords a tremendous capacity and readily attaches straight to a 2 5/16” ball.

We’re often asked this question, and, in truth, it really depends on what you want to use your trailer for. However, all things considered, one of the best bangs for your buck is the incredibly versatile 7x16 tandem axle enclosed trailer. At 16’ long and 7’ wide, the trailer is big enough to carry a wide range of loads but small enough to still be easily towed and maneuvered. Our 7x16’s come with an exceptional array of built-in features designed to make the trailer stand up to almost anything you can throw at it. Yes and yes! All of our enclosed trailers make great motorcycle trailers. Our 6x12 Tandem Axle gives you ample room for your chopper and all your gear, while still being small enough to easily tow and maneuver, all at a great price point. If you have multiple bikes to haul, the 8.5x16 Tandem Axle is a great choice for a trifecta of storage capacity, haulability, and price. Each enclosed cargo trailer we carry gives you the peace of mind of a safe and secure means to transport your favorite bike to and from shows, events, or touring.

You’ll want to make sure your enclosed trailer has both the physical capacity, as well as,  payload capacity to haul your prized car to your chosen destination. Just for perspective, a 2020 Ford Mustang is 188”, or a little under 16’, in length. To have enough room for the car and any tools or gear, you’d need at a minimum the 8.5x20 Tandem Axle. To have a little more “leg room”, we’d probably suggest an 8.5x24 Tandem Axle 3. Each of these trailers have reinforced ramps to safely get your vehicle on and off the trailer.

As the names imply, single-axle trailers have one, single axle that the frame of the trailer rests on and dual, or tandem, axle trailers have two axles. Dual-axle trailers are able to carry a much greater payload with the additional axle to bear the weight. Dual-axles also are somewhat safer as they afford more stability and in the event of a blow-out, give the driver an extra wheel to bring the trailer to a safe stop. Depending on the load you want to carry, our in-stock single and dual axle trailers can fit the bill.

By far the best advantage of a V-Nose cargo trailer is the extra cargo space the shape affords over a flat front, without having to increase the length of the trailer. Studies have shown the V-Nose to also be more aerodynamic, increasing fuel economy, and also to decrease the amount of sway the trailer experiences. Thermacool’s Ⓡ patented phase change technology offers intelligent temperature management for the inside of most every trailer we carry. This breakthrough in science and engineering utilizes phase change materials (PCMs) that go from solid to liquid and back again to absorb or release heat, which helps maintain a consistent temperature inside the enclosed trailer. Older trailer designs utilized simple aluminum skins with little to no insulating material, causing the inside to become a veritable oven in hot temps. The Thermacool liners, along with smart vent placements, helps to keep precious cargo from being subjected to temperature extremes.

Absolutely. All of Renown’s in-stock trailers have the strength and durability to get the job done, but we’ve taken it one step further with our Construction Package made especially for professionals in the skilled trades and services industry. These trailers have brilliantly-conceived built-in accessories just for our professional contractors. Years of doing business with contractors and craftsmen have given us a keen insight into the perfect accessories to help get jobs done faster and easier, with a trailer made to perform on even the most unforgiving job sites. Add-ons like integrated ladder racks, upgraded jacks, bright loading lights, and an extended tongue are just some of the many upgrades we incorporate into our Construction Package.

When you refer to an enclosed v-nose trailer, the triangular point at the front end of a trailer is not included in the measurement of the trailer length. When you purchase a 12 foot long trailer, the exterior is measured as 12 feet of viable length up until the beginning of the v-nose. This means that you are not losing out on space because of the shape of the enclosed trailer. 

Depending on which model and size of trailer you want, the height will vary slightly. The 6 foot wide trailers and the 7 foot wide trailers will both have an exterior height of 93” from the tires to the tallest point. These sizes also offer a wide range of options to maximize the interior space you can use for your gear and equipment. 

The 8.5 foot wide enclosed trailer options will have a total exterior height of 96” which will allow for more headroom and loads more payload capacity. Depending on your hauling needs, you can choose the trailer that will both fit all of your equipment and keep it securely in place while traveling.
